Adriano/a (they) is a Black, trans nonbinary person that is currently studying rehabilitation counseling at California State University Los Angeles. They believe in the importance of highlighting strengths and creating space for each individual’s experiences. Studying as a rehabilitation counselor has assisted them with becoming more aware of the ableism that many people face and it is important to them that they serve the disability community. They strongly believe in the impact that having multiple intersections has and the many ways that it is to be celebrated. “ I strive to be someone that serves my community and I’m grateful to be able to do so”. Some of their therapeutic approaches include creative therapies, narrative therapies, and person centered interventions while using an anti-colonial approach.
