Leif (they) is a queer, polyamorous, neurodivergent, and nonbinary human. They are a graduate student in the Counseling Psychology program at National University, and a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee. Social justice and advocacy are important to them, and they are passionate about supporting and building connections with people and communities. Leif is a firm believer in the importance of open and honest communication and how that applies to all facets of our lives.
They also have personal experience with religious trauma and faith deconstruction from their own upbringing, and strive to help others on their own journeys of self-discovery and exploration. They are drawn to humanistic, narrative, trauma-informed, and solution-focused models of therapy, and hopes to compassionately assist clients in exploring, highlighting, and celebrating their strengths and successes in a safer space. In their spare time, they are frequently involved in tabletop gaming, playing cozy video games, spending time with their partners, and playing with their dog and two cats.
