The L-Fund
The mission of The L-Fund is to provide resources to lesbians (cisgender and trans) in crisis, to empower lesbians through education, and to celebrate lesbians in the community.
FINANCIAL CRISIS
The L-Fund offers financial assistance to a lesbian or transgender lesbian in a specific crisis. Financial assistance is to address a specific situation rather than resolve an ongoing financial issue. Applicants must be able to sustain themselves financially.
Examples of a financial crisis would be situations that could lead to eviction, homelessness, loss of transportation, etc.
The L-Fund
L-FUND EDUCATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (LEAP)
LEAP provides education grants of up to $2,500 to attend a trade/vocational school, community college, or university. The grant can be used for tuition, application fees, books, ESL classes, health insurance, and living expenses.
Applicants must be high school graduates or working toward a GED.
Applicants must be out lesbian or out transgender lesbian to qualify for an education grant.
CRITERIA
Applicants for either the Education Grant or Financial Assistance must reside in the Coachella Valley, Morongo Valley, Yucca Valley, Joshua Tree, Twenty-Nine Palms, or Moreno Valley.

PROCESS
The intake coordinator(s) will interview the applicant, review all necessary documents, and submit the request to the Board of Directors for approval.
