A Jacqueline-of-all-trades, I’ve been a martial arts instructor, pâtissière, and even bus driver. After a decade-long struggle to find myself, I nervously booked my first electrolysis session, ready to zone out. When I told the beautiful Electrologist I assumed was cis, “I’m excited, but not looking forward to it,” she revealed she was just like me—and an unexpected ease turned my wariness into warmth. From patient to provider, with the opportunity offered by TH&WC, I now have the pleasure of giving back to our community. If I can provide a fraction of the comfort I felt during my own hair removal journey to another—whether they are trans or cis—it will bring me heartfelt joy.
