Pamela
She
Registered Nurse
Pamela’s passion for nursing began in childhood, inspired by her grandmother, Eve,
who earned her LPN at Phoenix College in the early 1970s as a single mother. Though
life took Pamela in other directions for a time, a series of difficult experiences ultimately
brought her back to what she now knows is her true calling.
Her journey has taken her from working as an LVN in a family clinic to becoming a
Registered Nurse in acute care (telemetry), navigating the intense challenges of the
COVID-19 pandemic—which she calls “nursing boot camp.” Through every phase, her
commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care has remained unwavering.
Pamela’s path to Transgender Health & Wellness was shaped by both love and loss. In
2024, she lost a close friend—who was also a TH&WC client—to cancer. That experience
deepened her resolve to advocate for and support the transgender community. Today,
Pamela doesn’t see her work as a job, but as a mission: to provide equitable, high-
quality, and safe gender-affirming care to everyone who needs it. She firmly believes
that gender-affirming care is life-saving care.
