Hello there! My name is Sonali (soh-NAH-lee), I’m currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with a focus on LGBTQ+ Affirmative Therapy at Antioch University. My clinical approach is shaped by my lived experience as a first-generation college graduate, an immigrant from Guatemala, and a person with trans* and non binary identities. Growing up in the vibrant, diverse tapestry of Los Angeles, I’ve learned the importance of honoring non-dominant experiences and providing a safer, inclusive spaces. My work centers on embracing the richness of diversity in all its forms with a strong commitment to providing therapy that is affirming. I use a family systems approach to explore the ways relationships and family dynamics shape personal experiences, and I integrate DBT-informed interventions to offer practical tools for emotional regulation, communication, and coping. My goal is to accompany my clients as they discover their strengths and work through challenges, supporting them in building a future that feels authentic, connected, and fulfilling.
